Bait Hive Workshop by Peter Sieling

Bait Hives constitute an important component of your beekeeping equipment. Use them to catch bees to replace dead colonies, hospital increase your colonies, and minimize your own swarm losses.

Workshop topics will include what bees look for when selecting a new home, a demonstration of making a bait hive with home shop tools, woodworking safety, properly baiting the hive to increase its appeal, where and how to mount the bait hive, removing the occupied colony safely, and easy transfer of bees to a standard hive.
